Everything you need to know about getting around the museum, and where you can sit down.

The museum is on one level, with step free access from the street and lifts to the auditorium and the studio. There are no stairs between any of the galleries, and every door opens on its own.

Where to sit

Every gallery has a bench, and folding stools are free to borrow at the entrance. Take one with you and sit wherever you like: in front of a painting, inside the sound room or next to the horn. The café in the courtyard has chairs with arms and a quiet corner away from the bar.

Pushchairs and wheelchairs

Pushchairs are welcome in every gallery. Two wheelchairs can be borrowed at the entrance, free of charge, and there is room to park pushchairs by the cloakroom if you would rather carry a sleeping child. Changing tables are in every toilet, not only the accessible ones.

Quieter times

The galleries are calmest on weekday mornings and after 17:00 on Fridays. If you would like to visit when it is quiet, call the front desk and we will tell you what the day looks like.
