Tour
7 November 2026, 14:00 to 15:00
Freja Lund walks through the painting and its 411 studies, and explains how every panel was hung without touching.
Freja Lund, who curated the exhibition, takes a small group through the main hall. She starts at the big painting and works outwards through the 411 studies Astrid Nyland made while planning it, pinned to the wall the way they were in her studio.
Along the way she explains how the installation team hung every panel in gloves, why the painting hangs under the skylight, and why the colours look different every time you visit.
The tour lasts an hour and is included in your museum ticket. Places are limited to twenty, so book ahead. Meet at the entrance to the main hall five minutes before the start.
